Legacy Award

Cheryl Hill: For services to the FPTA that will forever effect the association.

Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching

Morey Kolber: To acknowledge and honor an educator for excellence in academic teaching.

Award for Scholarly Impact on Practice

Robert (Bob) Gailey: To acknowledge and honor an individual whose individual and/or collaborative scholarly activity has made a meaningful difference to clinical practice by physical therapists in Florida

Rick Shutes Award for Legislative Advocacy

Mark (Bish) Bishop: For exceptional service in governmental advocacy on behalf of FPTA.

Emerging Leader Award

CariAnn Litz: To recognize a member who demonstrates extraordinary service early in his or her physical therapy career.

Outstanding PT/PTA Team Award

 

Kathy Swanick/Bill Dryden: To recognize outstanding clinical collaboration between a physical therapist/ physical therapist assistant (PT/PTA) team.


 

Linda Crane Research Grant

Jamie Holloway - Interrelationships Between Motor Ability and Social Function in Toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (University of South Florida)

The FPTA offers the Linda Crane Research Grant in the amount of $10,000 in memory of Linda Crane, PT.


Catherine E. Patla Community Awareness Grant

Yvonne Steffens and Kyle King - Fall Prevention Program delivered via Telemedicine to the Medically Underserved Population due to poverty in Pinellas county, FL.

The Catherine E. Patla Community Awareness Grant is provided to support community-based projects that increase awareness of the physical therapy profession.
