Course Approval for Providers
Get a Course You Want to Give Approved
Let your attendees know you care with FPTA Course Approval! Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants take continuing education courses to advance their clinical knowledge, improve their patient care and get credit towards Florida license renewal. Use this page as a step-by-step guide to help you become a "Provider" in order to submit courses for FPTA approval.
PLEASE NOTE: Providers submit applications for course approval through a 3rd party website called CE Broker. You must register on the CE Broker website before you can submit a course for approval to the FPTA.
Course Providers New to CE Broker
Step 1 Register to be a CE Provider on the CE Broker website.
Step 2 Choose the option Florida Department of Health.
Step 3 Scroll down on the next page for Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice, and select register/apply now.
Step 4 You are now ready to create a Login and Password.

Submitting a New Course
Step 1 Once you have an account with CE broker, the option "Courses" should appear in the left menu bar (you may need to refresh the page if it does not appear).
Step 2 Select "Courses" from the menu on the left of the screen, then click "New Course" which will allow you to add a new course.
Step 3 Move through the required fields by hitting the "Next" button. Notice that the CE Broker system is programmed with the specific requirements of the FPTA, and Step 10 will require attaching additional documents electronically.Click Here to view an explanation of the Course Application Requirements.
Courses are approved on a calendar-year basis and need to be submitted for approval yearly. For example, if you provided a course in 2020 and plan to provide it in 2021, you will need to update and resubmit the application for approval. Please remember during high volume time periods it can take six to eight weeks for processing.

Florida Board of Physical Therapy
