Catherine E. Patla Community Awareness Grant

This award is committed to assisting Florida physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in their relations with the public and patients through community awareness of the physical therapy profession.

Submission Requirements
— A letter of nomination specifically focused on the strengths of the nominee in relation to the award criteria, not to exceed 3 pages.
— 3 letters of support from individuals who can specifically address one or more of the criteria for selection, not to exceed 2 pages each.
— Curriculum vitae or resume of the nominee.

Political Action Committee (FPT-PAC)

FPT-PAC raises money to support advocacy efforts in Florida. Funds directly support decision-makers who have an impact on the practice of PT through regulation and laws overseeing the profession.

FPTA Policy Priorities

FPTA advocates for physical therapy before the Florida legislature, as well as before state regulatory agencies. We also support APTA in its efforts at the federal level — before Congress and regulators in Washington, DC.
