Alison Madej, PTA at Broward Health Coral Springs was presented with the 2018 outstanding PTA clinical instructor award by Kim Smith, Academic Co-Chair of the Florida Consortium of Clinical Educators (FCCE) and Diane Roadarmel, DCE at Keiser University. Alison has been serving as a clinical instructor for many years. She demonstrates a consistent commitment to clinical education – works well with all levels of students and is willing to work with students requiring remediation. She has a special interest in professionalism in the clinic. She developed a power point presentation based on the APTA Core Values and presented it to the PTA students at Keiser University. What is most important is that Alison models this behavior in the clinic with her interaction with students, peers, and patients. The students always stay in touch with Alison after graduation and she assists them with networking and job opportunities.
