Everything You Wanted to Ask About the Pelvic Floor but Were Afraid to Ask

0:30 Clinical presentations of pelvic organ and muscle dysfunctions
1:00 Integrating pelvic floor awareness into physical therapy treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction

Learning Methods will include:

Lecture, participant self-reflection in activities, application of material in question and answer format with invited lecturer.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the scope of practice for a treating pelvic health dysfunction by the physical therapist 
2. Describe the anatomical relationships and innervation of the viscera and musculature of the pelvis
3. Understand elements of a pelvic floor muscle evaluation
4. Recognize clinical presentations of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction
5. Incorporate pelvic floor muscle awareness and exercise into physical therapy treatment.
