The West Central District will host its first quarter business meeting directly after the 2019 Legislative Update presented by Tad Fisher, FPTA CEO and Preventing Medical Errors presented by Robin Galley, PT, DPT, OCS.

Provides three (3) live hours of continuing education towards 2019 Florida license renewal.

About the Presentation

2019 Legislative Update by Tad Fisher, FPTA CEO. Participants will learn first hand about Florida's Legislative process and receive an up-to date report on the FPTA Public Policy Initiatives. Attendees will gain an understanding about how to advocate for their professional; useful communication techniques conveying the PT policy message, and how advocacy protects their career.

Prevention of Medical Errors by Robin Galley, PT, DPT, OCD. Prevention of medical errors has been required for healthcare practitioners in Florida for many years.  This two-hour course will fulfill the biennial requirement for Prevention of Medical Errors education and license renewal for physical therapist and physical therapist assistant in the state of Florida
