The Southwest District will host its first quarter business meeting followed by a presentation on Is Chronic Pain a Neuromuscular Disease? by Mark Bishop, PT, PhD, FAPTA. 

Provides two (2) live hours of continuing education towards 2019 Florida license renewal.

About the Presentation

By the end of this lecture the participant will be able to:

1. Describe the differences between nociception and pain
2. Distinguish between pain as a symptom, primary chronic pain and secondary chronic pain
3. Determine factors prognostic of the transition from acute to chronic pain
4. Screen people with pain to determine appropriate management strategies
