2019 FPTA State Advocacy Days

Join the members of the FPTA for a full day and a half of advocacy training, lobbying, preparation and meeting with Florida Legislators and their staff.

Schedule of Events

Monday, February 18

2:00 pm - Arrivals - Check In
3:00- 5:00 pm - Advocacy Training
5:30- 6:30 pm - Legislative Reception
7:00 pm - Dinner on your own

Tuesday, February 19

7:00 am - Breakfast
8:00- House Chambers
9:00 - Legislative Visits
12:00 - 1:00 pm- Legislative Debrief and Lunch



Located close to the Capitol and Tallahassee's Midtown section, the DoubleTree Hotel provides comfort and ease in an intimate setting. Bring a guest to enjoy a night on the town in Florida's Capitol City!




About State Advocacy Days

Receive in-depth training on advocacy and the issues of the day, then meet with legislators to discuss issues affecting the practice of physical therapy in Florida.


There is no charge to register for the 2019 State Advocacy Days.  FPTA members who attend will be eligible for travel reimbursement up to $275. Register online today

Note: There is a limited number of student registrations, therefore approval of student applications will be subject to review before the registration is finalized.



Networking events and training will be at the DoubleTree Hotel at 101 S Adams Street in downtown Tallahassee, a stone's throw from the Capitol.
Participants will visit legislators and legislative staff at the Capitol building at 400 South Monroe Street.
