Call for PR Committee 2017

The FPTA is looking for volunteers to serve on the Public Relations Committee. The application will be open till August 15th, 2017. This committee shall be responsible for generating content in the areas of practice, advocacy, leadership and community awareness to direct our website information and future PR campaigns. This group will also be active in the development of a internship program for social media and communications within the association. Preference will be given to individuals who are digital media savvy.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTEES

  • Member of the Florida Physical Therapy Association
  • Familiarity with current FPTA website
  • Ability to create original ideas to increase awareness among clinicians, the community or legislators
  • Experience working and collaborating with others remotely

MEETINGS

The Public Relations committee is expected to meet virtually via webinars and conference calls to meet the charge during the established timeframe.

SIZE OF APPOINTED GROUP

A minimum of five members to be appointed by Director of Public Relations and the Board of Directors

TERMS OF APPOINTEES

Members of this committee shall serve for 2 years, beginning in August 2017 ending July 2019.

CHARGE

This committee shall be responsible for generating content in the areas of practice, advocacy, leadership and community awareness to direct our website information and future PR campaigns. This group will also be active in the development of an internship program for social media and communications within the association. Preference will be given to individuals who are active members of the association and/or are digital media savvy.

The composition of the special committee shall include a minimum of five individuals and will be overseen by the Director of Public Relations. Preference will be given to individuals who are active members of the association.
