Laws and Rules Course

The FPTA Laws and Rules Course provides you with information and a practice examination that will prepare you for taking the Florida Laws and Rules Examination that is required for Florida licensure as a Florida PT or PTA.

According to the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice, "a licensee who is required to take and pass the Florida laws and rules examination must submit an Application and the application fees to the Board of Physical Therapy in order to schedule the examination. Once approved to sit for the exam, you will be required to take an examination on the Florida laws and rules related to physical therapy practice."  This course will assist you in preparing for that examination.  Also, for any current license holder, you can gain 1 hour of approved CE credit for taking this course and 1 hour of approved CE for completing the examination.

FPTA, in conjunction with a former member of the licensing board, is offering this course to help you better understand the laws and rules as they relate to the practice of physical therapy in Florida.

In order to purchase the course, you must complete the form and submit.  A course payment confirmation, order number and instructions will be e-mailed to you at the address you indicate on the form.  In order for current licensees to receive 1 hour of continuing education credit, you must complete the post course exam and complete the submission per the instructions on the exam.

The cost of the course for FPTA members is $40.  The cost of the course for non-members is $60.
